Information on our stud dogs

The Kennel Club Assured Breeder Scheme promotes good breeding practice. There are set requirements that Assured Breeders must agree to follow, which encourage the breeding of healthy, well-adjusted puppies and we adopt the same practices for the use of our stud dogs.

Our Stud dogs are heart clear and KC/BVA/ISDS eye certified and have regular vet checks.
For your peace of mind we will ask all dog owners to have a veterinary health check prior to any mating and obtain an up-to-date BVA eye certificate. (Please click here for further info on eye testing) We also require to see a copy of your dog’s pedigree to ensure there are no close relatives.

Our Stud boys have a great temperaments along with good looks and charming personalities.  They are loving and gentle in nature, typical of the Cavalier King Charles breed.

We personally oversee all mating's in a comfortable and relaxed environment, most often with the owners present, helping both dogs all the way through the experience, the dogs are not just left to "get on with it".  It's very much a hands on procedure, this helps ensure the well-being of both male and female during the mating.

Alfie is a 'Ruby' Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. He is approaching 4 years of age and has sired many litters to date. He is a marvellous healthy specimen of a ruby cavalier, with a good pedigree and has a very loving temperament.

To use our stud dog the current fee is £295.
The service provides for 2 mating's over 2 different days (which should cover the expected fertility window).

We also honour a repeat mating on the next season, this is offered free of charge should there be no puppies produced from the previous mating's.

Finally we are also on hand for any advice throughout the pregnancy and raising of the pups.
If you have any other questions or would like to arrange to see Alfie, please feel free to contact us by telephone or e-mail.

Chico Retires
Chico is no longer available as a stud dog, he is now retired.  He is approaching seven and still maintains a clean bill of health.  He has enjoyed his stud work over the years and is now ready for a more relaxed lifestyle.
